Giovanna Ticciati is a furniture designer and interior designer. Giovanna is the founder of The Artisan Collab and her gallery in West Sussex shows the work of many of its makers alongside her own.

Giovanna's starting point for furniture design and interior design is ergonomics. She believes that for a room to be elegant one must be able to move effortlessly in it. From the height of a chair to the motion of putting a drink down she is as interested in what you don't notice as what you do. Her interiors are calm and inviting with an easy flow.
Giovanna's work has a gently minimal aesthetic which can also be seen in her gallery. Sculptural ceramics sit on c18th consoles and commodes, with large contemporary works above. Sofas invite you to sit down and muted colours offset the space around things.
Interiors show a lot of ourselves: our interpretation of beauty, how we like to live, what is important to us. Every culture has its own custom to show respect as one enters another's house. It is an honour to be invited; it is something very special we see.
